Stirling Trust to commence cash-in-transit operations in Nigeria

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) in a circular titled "Stirling Trust Company Limited to commence cash-in-transit operations" informed all licensed deposit money banks and all licensed Cash in Transit companies (CTIs) and Currency Processing Companies (CPCs) in Nigeria that Stirling Trust has been approved to carry out cash-in-transit operations acros the country.


The circular reads "Please be informed that Stirling Trust Company Limited has been granted approval by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to commence Cash-in-Transit operations in Nigeria with effect from April 23; 2020."


In move towards promoting effective and efficient currency management in the country, the CBN had registered eight CTIs and two CPCs in 2019.
